What this page is...

Not every hiring manager is going to like this page, see its value, or let's be frank even visit. However, for those that do, my intent is to make an easy introduction to who I am beyond the resume. I've been in the hiring seat... it's not easy. Plus, you have the added piece of AI and your role is 10x harder. But I don't need to tell you that.

So, I wanted to build a page that gives you a glimpse into who I am as a person. And since I value accuracy and objectivity, this of course means seeking data from a third-party source.

This page isn't optimized; these are my words, opinions, writing style, and truth unless otherwise stated.

How I Work in and out of the Office

I come from a business world that loves personality tests. I feel like I've taken them all... MB, DiSC, Strength Finders, you name it. There was a time I put way too much stock in the results, however with a wider lens I see these now as intended... a tool. In my career, it gives me direction towards roles that would energize me, and awareness of things I should watch out for or avoid. Knowledge, after all, is power.

The following descriptions are Google search answers based on my recent (10/2025) results of the most popular tests in businesses that I've seen. Myers Briggs and DiSC.

Myers Briggs

The primary purpose of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is to provide insight into an individual's own personality preferences and to help them better understand others. It does this by categorizing people into one of 16 personality types based on four dichotomies: extraversion/introversion, sensing/intuition, thinking/feeling, and judging/perceiving. This understanding is then applied to foster personal and professional development, improve communication, and enhance teamwork. - Google

INFJ - "The Advocate"

Introverted: They are reserved and private, finding social energy draining and requiring solitude to recharge their minds and process their thoughts.

Intuitive: They rely on "gut feelings" and insights, often seeing patterns and connections that others miss.

Feeling: They are driven by empathy and compassion, making decisions based on how they will affect others and deeply connecting with their emotions.

Judging: They prefer structure and order, and are decisive and organized, but can sometimes be perfectionistic and hard on themselves.

An INFJ is a quiet, idealistic, and intuitive personality type known for their deep empathy, strong sense of purpose, and desire to help others. They are introverted, meaning they need alone time to recharge, but can be socially adept and charismatic when needed. INFJs are compassionate and organized, driven by a strong set of personal values and a need for authenticity in their relationships.

DiSC

The DISC personality assessment is a behavioral assessment tool that measures an individual's four primary behavioral traits: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness. It helps individuals understand their own behavioral style and how they interact with others, providing insights for better communication and collaboration, and is commonly used in the workplace for team building, leadership development, and conflict resolution. - Google

SC - "Steadiness/Conscientiousness"

Stability and consistency: They prefer predictable and stable environments.

Caution and reflection: They are cautious, patient, and tend to think things through before acting or speaking.

Objectivity and accuracy: They are detail-oriented and precise, and value accuracy and objectivity.

Diplomacy and accommodation: They are often accommodating and work to maintain harmony, using diplomacy to influence others.

Common motivators and stressors:

  • Motivators: Thoughtful communication, supportive roles, and building trust through consistency.

  • Stressors: Being put on the spot, making quick decisions without time for analysis, and tense or conflict-filled environments.

Potential career matches:

  • Careers that require attention to detail, accuracy, and methodical work are a good fit.

SC styles value stability, are modest, patient, soft-spoken, cautious, and reliable, blending steadiness and conscientiousness, and are often analytical.

*Please note, I have mapped out my skills and personality against each role I apply for. If you would like access to this information, I am happy to send it your way (amversaw@gmail.com). I make this extra effort because I'm not looking for a "job", I'm looking for a lasting career. I'm being picky, and patient.

Hobbies

... and Social Media

Hobbies of mine are quiet activities to recharge. I enjoy reading a really good book, hiking in Fall weather, and taking a walk with my dog. Bonus points if I get to do this with my kids or husband. Hobbies that have fallen to the side but will pick back up are painting and working with clay. However, I currently tap into my creator side through design either in curating our furnished rentals or turning our personal house into a home.

Social Media. I made it a small part of my world prior to real estate (IG/FB) and somewhat in real estate (FB), however it is not a place I feel the need to be. For unknown reasons I am removed from time to time depending on the platform. Last time it was Facebook, this time it's LinkedIn. I've submitted the required documents and am waiting for reinstatement. Creating it under a different email only gets me blocked again and makes the process longer. If being active on personal social media sites is a significant part of this role, I am not a fit.
